As part of the METASKILLS4TCLF initiative, the 22nd of april a group of 5 upper sec-ondary school students in Sweden had the opportunity to discover the world of Textiles and Clothing by visiting the company XV Production during a special Open Days event.

The visit offered the students valuable insight into how innovation, technology, remake, textile sorting, and sustainability are shaping the future of the TCLF (textile, clothing, leather, footwear) industries. Students learned about the increasing importance of tex-tile recycling and sorting, a responsibility that as of 2025 is mandatory for every munic-ipality in Sweden. Through interactive sessions and engaging discussions with compa-ny representatives, the students explored how circular practices and sustainable solu-tions are becoming central in the industry. They also discovered the tools and key skills needed to pursue a career in this dynamic and evolving sector.

This activity is part of the broader effort led by METASKILLS4TCLF to bridge the gap between education and industry needs, promoting future-ready competencies and raising awareness among younger generations about the exciting opportunities in the TCLF sector.
