On the 23rd and 24th, the activity “Setting up Metaverse Lab – Training of Technicians and Trainers” took place in Prato, Italy, at the facilities of partner PIN, within the framework of the European project MetaSkills4TCLF.
This initiative brought together partners and training organizations from several countries that will implement Metaverse Labs in their respective institutions. The main objective of the training was to equip technicians and trainers with the skills needed to install, manage, and use these innovative laboratories, as well as to prepare them to subsequently train other project teachers in the use of the related equipment.
During the activity, participants had hands-on experience with virtual reality equipment, including VR headsets, and with the digital content developed within the project. The training also focused on innovative teaching methodologies applied to the context of education and vocational training.
Within the scope of MetaSkills4TCLF, a virtual reality application was developed for higher education and vocational training. Four specific applications were created, each dedicated to a key sector: clothing, textile, leather, and footwear.
This activity represents a fundamental step towards the modernization of teaching and training processes in the TCLF sectors, promoting the adoption of immersive technologies and strengthening the digital skills of trainers and trainees.
The MetaSkills4TCLF project thus continues to establish itself as a reference in pedagogical innovation and in preparing professionals for the future challenges of the TCLF industries in Europe.
